My review:
I heard a lot of great things about this book and was expecting it to be one of the best. And, I wasn't too disappointed. Shade is most definitely an exceptional book but I think I was expecting more.

The plot was very exhilarating. Lots of action and romance. I really liked how the story started out and it was addicting but the addicting-ness died down towards the middle and it slowly picked up again towards the end and then it ended. I remember disliking the ending. It was such a huge cliff-hanger but I suppose that's a good thing because I hear that there's a sequel? Anyway, there was also some stuff that didn't really make sense like the trials. Like, I understood why they're doing it but it seemed so pointless.

Aura was a likable character. Her ability to deal with the situation without being too dramatic was great but it seemed somewhat unrealistic, I think. I feel like girls these days get too depressed after something happens and that's reality but Aura wasn't extremely depressed or suicidal which made it seem somewhat unrealistic.

Logan and Zachary both have their charming points. Logan, Aura's boyfriend, who obviously really cares about her despite what she thinks half the time. And Zachary, the really cute and patient guy that happens to pop up in her life. Both are essential to Aura and this book. Without their characters, this book would have been a flop.

Overall, Shade was an enjoyable book and I can't wait until the Sequel especially after that ending. Gah! Such a cliff-hanger!
